On our way to school last week, we passed by a HUGE gathering of buzzards on the side of the road. I'd never seen so many congregated like this without something dead in the middle of them...

And in the middle of all those Buzzards stood one lone Falcon.

Wow Erica, what a great picture. Wonder if that falcon felt surrounded and outnumbered. He certainly doesn't look intimidated at all.
They're all birds of prey, maybe just a mixed flock migrating from one place to another--sometimes it's a short trip and other birds join in. We get mixed flocks of Red Wings & Starlings.
