Cameron's Old Oak Tree

This beautiful old oak tree stands out in an open field in Adkins, Texas about a mile away from where I grew up. I think I was around 12 years old when I first looked at it and began planning these photos --- photography was already in my brain?! I knew that someday I would take a photo of my son in denim overalls swinging on that old tire swing.

So about 15 years later, when Cameron was about 4 years old, I drove back to where I grew up and went to the house nearby this tree and asked if I could please use their tree for some photos. The elderly couple smiled sweetly and loaded us up into their pickup to drive us through the cows to get to the tree. The lady stood and watched as Cameron played, and I snapped the following photos.
